Privacy policy

At The Liberated Woman, we are committed to protecting your privacy.

Updated 24 September 2026

This policy explains how The Liberated Woman handles personal information when you use our website, join the Return to Power waitlist, enquire about coaching or training, access our digital programme, or contact us. We know that some information shared with us may be especially sensitive, and we ask you to use a device and email account that feel safe for you.

Who we are

The Liberated Woman FZC, Business Centre, Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact us at safesupport@theliberatedwoman.org or +971 58 582 7761.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name, contact details, organisation, country or location, enquiries and messages, programme account and participation information, purchase and transaction details, and your email preferences. If you choose to tell us about abuse, health, family or legal circumstances, that information may be particularly sensitive. Please share only what is necessary for your enquiry or support.

Our website may also record technical information such as your IP address, device and browser information, page activity, and cookies or similar technologies. Payment card details are generally handled by the payment provider at checkout rather than entered into a form on this site.

How we use your information

We use information to respond to enquiries, arrange calls and training, provide purchased programmes and resources, manage accounts and payments, deliver requested waitlist messages, maintain site security, and meet legal obligations. We may use site analytics to understand and improve the website, subject to the choices and rules that apply to you.

Where applicable law requires a lawful basis, this may be your consent, performance of a contract or steps you ask us to take before one, our legitimate interests in operating a secure service, or a legal obligation. We seek an appropriate basis before using sensitive information and limit access to people who need it to provide support. Joining the waitlist does not require you to purchase the programme. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in an email or by contacting us.

Security & retention

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to restrict access and protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending urgent safety information through a website form; if you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, for legal and accounting requirements, or to manage an ongoing service or dispute. The period depends on the type of information and applicable law. You can ask us about a particular record or request deletion where available.

Sharing & international transfers

We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers to operate the website and services, including website hosting, email and waitlist delivery (Mailchimp), booking tools (Calendly), and payment processing where offered (such as Stripe). We share information with a provider only as needed for the relevant service. If you choose to join an external community, its platform has its own privacy terms and visibility settings. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect someone from serious harm where lawful.

Because we support women internationally and use third-party services, information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we consider the applicable protections for those transfers. Contact us if you would like more information about a particular provider or transfer.

Your choices & rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may be able to request access to, correction or deletion of your information; object to or restrict some processing; withdraw consent; or request a copy of certain information. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully carried out. You may also have a right to complain to a relevant data protection authority.

Send requests to safesupport@theliberatedwoman.org. We may need to verify your identity before acting, especially where disclosure could put someone at risk. Please tell us a safe way to reply.

Children’s privacy

Our programmes and support services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly invite children to register for the programme. If you believe a child has provided information through our site, please contact us so we can review it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows when this version was updated. Significant changes may be communicated through the website or another appropriate channel.
